- How to Setup Windows 2000 in Oracle VM on Windows 10. Microsoft Windows 2000 was released on February 17, 2000 to the Windows NT 4.0 as an update. It was not an update for Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE. In addition, the Win2000 OS came in 4 different versions.
- To do so, boot your PC off the Windows 2000 CD-ROM, if possible. If your PC can't boot from the CD, boot from Setup Disk 1. As Setup launches, you'll be asked if you want to begin installing.
- The CD key which worked for me was: HBTD9-6P338-XT2MV-QBTTF-WPGGB My parents bought me my first PC and I was 11 years old really to help me with my studies. It was the year 2000, and it with it came Windows ME. I have very fond memories! Where do I start. The operating system and its many menus and applications were my playground!
- These disks are original boot floppy disk media for use with Microsoft Windows CD-ROMs. Not all Windows 9x/ME CDs are bootable, not all CDs included boot disks, and DOS will not see a CD-ROM drive unless a driver is loaded. OEMs were expected to provide compatible CD-ROM with the boot media provided with their systems. However towards the very late 90s, most vendors standardized on.

DOCS:
1. Most of the files above are disk images. Download the file to your C: drive, put a fresh disk in your A: drive, then click on the file to create the bootdisk.
2. The W2K Pro disks are zipped images from the MS CD. Best bet is to download them, upzip them to a new folder where you also put makeboot.exe and makebt32.exe into and then run one of the makeboot utils depending on if you're in dos or windows to create the diskset. Or, one can use Winimage to just create a single bootdisk.
3. The Win9X OEM disks are Images of the Microsoft bootdisks that came with your OS. They put the utilities you need in a ramdrive, or virtual disk which is usually the next drive letter up from your hard drive partitions. Use my Custom disks for a faster, easier to use utility.
